Who is this site for?

Aspiring webmasters, web developers or curious folk.
The site is aimed at anyone with an interest in web design technologies.

Why?

Why not? We set up the site to feed our hunger for knowledge and thought it would be a good idea to pass on the knowledge we have gained.

Who the heck..?

The webmaster is Erik Hsueh, an Irishman living in Finland. The web design thingy is just a hobby, 8am - 5pm Erik works a real job. Hobby time is 9pm to whenever while listening to a range of MP3's.

What technologies & where learned?

Technologies: (X)HTML, CSS, SSI and a smidgen of PHP. Some cobol & pascal back in the 80's. Learned: On free sites like this, learned by reading source code and experimenting.

What tools do you use?

Everything is hand-coded on SSI-Developer using HTML-Kit, an excellent text editor we highly recommend. Most of the graphics are done in 2D&3D Animator and MS Draw (*gasps*), occasionally Gimp is used, and not forgetting IrfranView for general stuff.
Firefox is the browser of choice, Smart FTP takes care of file transfer and home testing is done with the Apache/PHP/MySQL combination. The all important W3C HTML & CSS validators are often used of course.
